Helen Y. Davis Leadership Academy has one of the top charter school athletic programs in New England. At the Academy, athletic competition is a vital part of our school community, and is guided by the values of teamwork, sportsmanship, and character development. Academy students, the Panthers, compete in the Massachusetts Charter School Athletic Organization (MCSAO). Teams compete interscholastically in boys and girls basketball, track and field, and soccer.

At the University of Miami, DLA Alumnus Bruce Brown, performs well on the court, as well as in the classroom.

It was University of Miami basketball coach Jim Larrañaga, informing her that her son Bruce, a freshman guard with the Hurricanes, had been named to the Atlantic Coast Conference All-Academic Team — an honor that requires a minimum 3.0 grade-point average. Read More

DLA Alumna, Allison Kelly, has an impressive record at Newbury College.

Ms. Kelly was an outstanding athlete while at DLA. In high school she was played three sports and played four years of varsity basketball under Head Coach Karim Gibson and became team captain as a senior. See Stats.

DLA Alumnus, Terrence Clark, dominates AAU and is a Top Ten standout at the Rivers School.

Terrence Clarke was an amazing basketball player while at DLA and his skills have developed so much over the years. He is now at the Rivers School and is arguably one of the top ten Freshmen in the country. We are so proud! Check out his highlight reel.
